Brendan B. Penney is a partner at the Los Angeles office. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Penney practiced for over 5 years with Bryan Cave LLP in their Santa Monica office and prior to moving to California, Mr. Penney practiced in the State of Maine for over 4 years. Mr. Penney has over 15 years of litigation experience with an emphasis on construction defect and claims litigation. Over the years Mr. Penney has represented owners, including municipalities, large general contractors, and subcontractors in practically every construction discipline. He also represents both the insured and the insurer with special emphasis in the title insurance area and advises the firm’s clients in bad faith claims, priority disputes, lender liability, real estate fraud, and foreclosure issues.
Mr. Penny also has a commercial litigation and general business practice representing manufacturers and distributors of equipment peer group security services, property management firms, and commercial and office building owners, providing legal advice with respect to their day-to-day business activities. Mr. Penney has extensive bench and jury trial experience, having tried dozens of matters.
